WELCOME TO
Jain Tirths, also known as Jain pilgrimage sites, hold great significance for the followers of Jainism. Jainism is one of the oldest religions in the world, and its principles are based on non-violence, self-control, and spiritual development. Jain Tirths are places where Jain monks and laypeople gather to seek spiritual enlightenment, perform rituals, and pay homage to the Tirthankaras, the founders of Jainism.
The history of Jain Tirths dates back to ancient times, when Jainism was first established. Many of these sites are associated with the Tirthankaras, who are believed to have attained enlightenment at these locations. The most important Jain Tirths are located in the Indian state of Gujarat, where the majority of Jains reside. However, there are also significant Jain Tirths in other parts of India, as well as in other countries.
One of the most famous Jain Tirths is the Shatrunjaya Hill in Palitana, Gujarat. It is believed that twenty-two of the twenty-four Tirthankaras attained enlightenment at this site. The hill is home to over 800 temples, which were built over a period of 900 years. The temples are a testament to the rich architectural heritage of the Jains, and are adorned with intricate carvings and sculptures. The Shatrunjaya Hill attracts thousands of pilgrims every year, who come to climb the 3,750 steps to the top of the hill and visit the temples.
